Rocky Sharpe And The Replays

Originally known as Rocky Sharpe & the Razors as an early signing to our Chiswick label, a name change occurred when two members split off to form Darts in the late 70s. The Replays, now a trimmed-own four-piece, hit in 1978 with their remake of the Edsels’ ‘Rama Lama Ding Dong’, kick-starting a healthy career of poppy covers of doo wop-type material. Helped by member Helen Highwater’s lead on some songs, the hits ‘Imagination’, ‘Shout Shout (Knock Yourself Out)’ and ‘If You Wanna Be Happy’ followed and the group maintained a successful career on the road all over Europe.
